Glad to find these!
I’ve been struggling to find a Buster Brown sock that wasn’t too big or too small. Someone mentioned these is a review and I took a chance and ordered them. So glad I did. No more slipping around in too large socks. No nonsense Women’s Scallop Pointelle Crew Sock

Best Socks EVAH!!
First I found that don’t dig into my calves. And they’re thin so my shoes aren’t too tight, plus they’re not all cotton which rubs and causes sores. And the price? Whoo hoo! I am a very happy camper.

Socks that feel good
They don’t restrict or bind toes. They are light weight, not bulky and fits easily in shoes.

Loose at top as expected & wanted
I had similar socks previously (not sure of brand) but these looked similar enough to try. They are as advertised & how I expected them to fit, loose at top (not “falling down loose”, just not with tight elastic or bands. Since they have a somewhat scalloped top they can be folded down. No problems except the toe area is not entirely smooth at the outer edges, there are thread “lumps” which are tolerable. Edited: now that I’ve worn them a few days, they are still ok and washed/dried well. But the tops are tending to roll just a bit ( not down to the ankles, just a bit from the too) and the toe seam is uncomfortable as the seam is long and the ends have a bump which irritates. Will wear until they wear out then look for better socks. Edited: going to donate these, they refuse to stay up, they “roll” down & the pointelle tops are now, after washing , looking quite frayed

Not enough cotton to stretch.
These were purchased for my mom who needed them to be like the old ones and stretch wide around the ankle. These did not & are not the quality of those made several years ago…which I shouldn’t be surprised.

Synthetic feel
I bought this socks because of my ankle. Works on that, but overall quality is not good, not soft or absorbent.

What’s most important is comfort and size.
These are great socks for boots and under straight leg jeans or slacks. They’re very comfortable to wear, they are soft and do not cut off circulation to your legs or ankles. Really great socks!

Well made, does not bind at the top
Cannot stand how ankle/calf-length socks bind tightly on your calf? Then get these. Noon-binding and still stay up! Great value.

If you want good socks that don’t make rings on your ankles, order these.
bought these last year on Amazon…loved them. Bought a 3 pack last month on ebay and noticed right away that they were not the same (according to the description , they were supposed to be the same socks)…suspect some knock off. So I ordered them again on Amazon and again love them.

The scalloped edge softens the appearance of a plain useful garment.
Comes up a little higher on the leg than some others, which is good. The ribbing and edging add a pleasing decoration without being frilly. I only wish I could find more colors.

NON-BINDING CREW SOCKS
PRODUCT HAS NO BINDING ELASTIC OR CUFF, SO LEGS DO NOT GET SWOLLEN. ALSO, THEY DO NOT BUNCH UP IN THE SHOE OR SLIP DOWN. GREAT SOCKS!

They don’t squeeze or leave marks behind while wearing, which is what I was after. But they are not soft.

Legs and feet indented
Decent quality, but they do leave slight impressions on the leg and foot. It helps to fold over the top. I would return them, but it is so hard to find socks that stay up without leaving imprints on me.

My second purchase
Recommend. The tops of these socks are non binding, which is the main reason I buy them. I use an adhesive called It Stays at the top so they don’t slide down and restrict circulation at my ankle. I also like that they are mostly cotton and are on the thin side of medium weight so I can easily wear them in most of my shoes (not just sneakers). In addition, they are a pretty weave.

Lasts well
These do their job. They’re not super soft but they are strong and holding up well as opposed to a different set I bought that got a hole in one heel after only a few times wearing it. I just gave that other set a negative review so thought I should come here and give these a positive review.

Cotton is the Best
I have had 3 pair of socks exactly like these. They are so old that I don’t even remember where I purchased them. The ones I have are well worn. I like them because they don’t leave lines on my feet/lower calves. They are loose enough, yet they stay up. I am so happy to have found them again as my 3 old pair are ready for the dump.

Not tight!
I love that these socks are not tight on my ankles/legs. They are tall enough and they don’t fall down either. Highly recommend!

Comparison Review, Fast Shipping, Very reasonable price.
I bought these socks because I have worn similar HUE socks for several years but they are difficult to find online now (even on HUE website) except for their Pointelle “Shorty” length, and I wanted to compare brands. I need socks that do not fit tightly around my calves and are not tight overall.I haven’t washed the No Nonsense (NN) socks yet, and will follow up with a review after I do so.They are soft to the touch, seeming a bit heavier then HUE, but the only HUE socks I now possess have been washed and worn many times, so it’s difficult to compare. The NN socks are ribbed from just above toes to top of the sock, which is scalloped similar to HUE. However the sock/ribbing is not identical to HUE socks, which seem to be made of a more delicate Pointelle fabric. Before washing, the No Nonsense socks fit well and feel comfortable, measuring 14 inches from top to toe when layed out flat. I’ve included a picture of NN sock on my foot, and for comparison, my calf measures 10 1/2 inches around.I attempted to compare fabric compositions but the HUE socks now available show several conflicting descriptions. The NN are composed of: 78% Cotton/Algodon, 21% Nylon, 1% Spandex per package.

Fit well, comfortable, not too tight around the calf.
I like that the socks fit well and look good. The tops do not dig into my calf, which has been a problem with other socks. Also, they stay up on my leg nicely. I appreciate that they do not slip down around my ankles nor do the heels work their way towards the bottom of my foot. Finally, all of the above is still true after the socks were washed and dried. I’m quite pleased and recommend the socks highly.

Perfect to wear with doc martens
Was looking for some frilly socks to pair with my doc martens. Socks were a little thin so depending on weather, I would put on extra socks but other than that, super cute.

Reduce restriction
Recommend these for folks with slight swelling of legs. There is very little, if any, elastic at the top of the socks. At the end of the day, indentations are less.Do Not use to replace medical support stockings.

Comfy, Cute, Classic
Comfy classic White sock. I got these as a cute accent for a costume look I was going for (the character wears white socks with red shoes). I’m so glad i did because I’ve worn these again since then, and enjoy the comfort and look. They make me feel girly for some reason. I normally wear no show socks with sneakers, wear compression hose for work, or go without socks in sandles or loafers. I will definitely buy more of these for my casual sneaker days. These are breathable, yet stay snug on the foot without being tight. I got the standard pack, I wear ladies US size 9 shoe. The top of sock is long enough to fold down and cuff into a cute style but could be worn pulled up. The scalloped trim is a dainty touch, not too busy at all. Overall great buy, quick delivery with PRIME.

My parents love these socks!
I bought these socks for my elderly mother because it said they were non-binding. She loves them. They fit snug on the foot and do not bind on her leg. I accidentally put a pair in my dad’s room, and he loves them too. So I bought more.

Still deciding, a bit thin and feminine
I like these socks, may order more. Waiting until it’s a bit warmer to decide, concerned the percentage of synthetic material in the socks may make them too warm for Spring and Summer seasons. I bought them because they are a bit thin. For some they may be too thin but they fit snug and comfortable. I turn them down to keep my ankles warmer. They would look nice with slacks if you prefer not wearing knee-hi nylons. Also, I bought a three pack, with one black, one heather gray, and the other was white! A bright white. I thought it would be an ivory color. Wish they were available in gray, brown, and a higher percentage of cotton.

A definite keeper!
I’m pretty happy with these socks. After washing they look super tiny, so I freaked out a little bit. The top frays a little on some, so that’s why I went down one star to four. I’ve had them for about a month, and they’re holding up great. They have a lot of stretch, so don’t worry when they look miniature after drying. I have bigger calves and these don’t leave indents! They fall down a tiny bit, but not enough where I have to keep adjusting them. They are very soft and comfortable; not terribly thick, so your toes may get a bit cold in the winter! Hope this helps!

Slouch socks
I specifically bought these socks to create a cute slouch look. I love them. I have rather chubby legs/calf’s and these do no feel tight at all! They look cute with the scallop edge. The only complaint I would say I had is that when you get the socks they come with some annoying little random strings on the edge of the socks. I just trimmed them all off. It’s something I know I shouldn’t have had to do but overall the socks were cute and what I wanted them for!

Warning: not the same non-binding socks as when purchased in 2018
These socks are definitely not comfortable like the 2 batches I bought in April 2018. I still weigh 114 lbs (5’4″). My feet, ankles and legs are still skinny, without hammer toe or bunions. Even so, I like socks that don’t have elastic that pull around the arch and that stay up without binding. Story: My elderly mom needed some non-binding socks, those I have seemed ideal, and I was delighted they were still available. I ordered 6 white pairs for her, and splurged for 6 black pairs for myself. On arrival, they looked like the ones I already have so I snipped off the tags, so my mom wouldn’t have deal with that. Big mistake! Next day I needed socks to wear with sneakers to grocery shop, so pulled out a new pair of the black ones . My feet/ankles instantly disliked the too-tight fit. Shocked, I pulled them off and laid them side-by-side with a pair of 2-yr old socks in the hamper. Same size! I tried the white socks; same thing. I realized they also were much stiffer to the touch. Later when I put my hand into the ankle opening to test the tightness, the resistance was MUCH greater when compared with those I purchased through Amazon 2 years ago. (My older socks always come out of the wash looking good and their original shape, not sloppy. Nor do I have to pull them up during the day, all day.) This new version of the No Nonsense Pointelle socks just does not give to fit my feet. Instead they bind my toes, feet around the arch and at my ankle enough to make me want to get out of them off inside of 20-30 minutes. If I cannot stand the tight fit, neither will my mom. So disappointing! I don’t know if the composition changed, or if it’s a tighter weave. Whatever the problem, my only solution is to donate them in hopes someone is able to wear them comfortably.

Nice but odd fitting
These seem to be decent quality but I found them to be tight-fitting and therefore difficult to put on. I guess I shouldn’t have bought the 9-pair option.

What I need
So glad I finally found these! Had bought some a couple of years ago and forgot where. I need the scalloped tops as elastic tops cause swelling in my legs. These stay up, wash well and are perfect for me.

Not the same as previously purchased.
Having been buying these faithfully for over 10 year. All of a sudden they changed the material. It is softer, which is nice, but also very stretchy. They used to come mid-calf but now go almost to my knees. Most annoying is that they roll down my legs all the time. Going to be looking for an a different brand.

Hole in one only good in golf!
We bought these for my mother-in-law at her request and she likes them. The problem was the flaws in two socks.Positives: The length and weight if the socks is nice. Also, that these have no elastic at top which was what we wanted.Negatives: Hole in one of the socks had to be darned before my wife could give these to her mom (this was the first time I’ve ever seen my wife darn a sock). Also, the stitching at the top edge of another sock was flawed.Rather than fussing with a rerun, my wife chose to repair the holy sock and give them to her mom. We would look elsewhere if we need more like this one. The manufacturer needs to up their QA.

Very Nice Socks
I was pleased when I opened the package, the socks were soft and I really liked the weight of them. When I put on the first pair they seemed a little snug but comfortable. I wore them to work and all evening but when I took them off I had ridges across the top of my feet. I plan to return them because they are too tight on my feet even though I ordered the correct size but would still recommend them.
